Android Devices

Android devices have different settings that can affect GPS accuracy. Follow these steps to improve tracking performance.

  1. Keep Your App Up to Date
    • Make sure you have the latest version of The Mantrailing App from the Google Play Store to ensure optimal performance.‍
  2. Disable Battery Saver & Optimize Location Settings‍
    • Power-saving features can interfere with GPS accuracy. Disable battery optimization for The Mantrailing App:
      1. Open your device Settings.
      2. Navigate to Apps > The Mantrailing App.
      3. Open the option about the App battery usage.
      4. Select Unrestricted or Allow background activity.
  3. Ensure Your GPS is Set to High Accuracy‍
    1. Open Settings and go to Location.
    2. If available choose High Accuracy.
    3. If your device offers Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning, enable it for better precision.
  4. Allow The Mantrailing App to Access Your Location‍
    1. Open Settings and go to Apps.
    2. Find The Mantrailing App and open Permissions.
    3. Navigate to Location permission and choose Allow only while using the app.
    4. Ensure Use precise location is enabled.
  5. Set the Correct Time Zone‍
    1. Open Settings > System > Date and Time.
    2. Enable the automatic time and time zone options
  6. Additional Troubleshooting
    • Restart your smartphone to refresh system processes.‍
    • Open Google Maps for a few seconds until your location is found, then open The Mantrailing App.

  2. Disable Low Power Mode
    1. Go to Settings > Battery.
    2. Turn of Low Power Mode.
  3. Enable Background App Refresh
